THE TIME HAS COME, THE WALRUS SAID Jessica Lerm

The time has come, the Walrus said,
To leave our homes behind.
The rooms are small. The floor - our beds;
This place is less than kind.

So off they went. They didn't go far.
They gathered sticks and stones.
They found a place, and there did start
To build themselves a home.

Oh, it was grand! One thousand rooms -
Each one of them prepared.
But then the cracks began to loom.
Their heaven was impaired.

The time has come, the Walrus said,
To leave this world behind.
Our minds are small; we are misled.
What we seek is what we find.
